The Dear Green Place

For many months Spring has been but a memory and green was seen only in dreams. Now Nature is awake and shades of fresh green are everywhere. A spring wind blows through the woods and to breathe it in is to feel renewed.

In dreams, the colour green represents healing and growth. Historically, Glasgow was called "the dear green place" a lovely name that precedes industrialisation but one that was appropriate this afternoon.
